The last time I visited your blog you were complaining about word verification. I use word verification-- some of us want people to have the option of commenting anonymously.
I personally DO NOT comment on other people's blogs for the purpose of getting more traffic and comments on my own blog, and I only comment on people's blogs if I have something I really want to say. So, that said, if it is such an inconvenience for someone to use my word verification to comment on my blog, they probably didn't have anything genuine to say and probably just wanted to leave a comment so I'd look at their blog. And when I comment on other people's blogs, I don't mind if they have word verification because I care about connecting with bloggers and leaving authentic comments. However, I only comment regularly on those blogs that I truly, truly enjoy, so I can see how if someone was commenting on lots and lots of blogs in order to get exposure, word verification would be a pain. This just sounds like "I have SOOOO many blogs to comment on, stop slowing me down with your WV." If someone's comment is not worth the six seconds it takes to complete my WV, I'd rather that person just not comment.
And as far as the anonymous comments, some people who want to comment do not have Google or other accounts and don't know how else to comment. Or maybe they just really want to comment anonymously. I would much rather have someone's genuine and honest anonymous comment than someone's superficial comment that I'm only getting because my blog is "easier to comment on" or something.
You have fabulous style and a lovely blog-- I think it would do you better to focus on yourself than to repeatedly complain about how others choose to blog.
