Madeleine Vionnet - 2 Shirts = 1 Skirt

Inspired by Madeleine Vionnet, the creator of the bias cut  around 1935, and her art of draping, I dared to make  a skirt out of 2 of my husband´s  old shirts.
Madeleine made clothes that cling to the body  as if they were made of liquid silk.

Isn't it funny how everyone bows at the feet of these new designers when really all they are doing is repeating what has already been done! I adore that 1st picture. You are right, the dress is so fluid and regal!! I can't wait to see this dress you are making! Kiah

The suspense is too much...I have always admired the drape of bias cut dresses, so it will be very interesting to see what you come up with.
