Set in Mexico during the revolutionary war, the magnificent and turbulent love story of Tita and Pedro unfolds. According to the family tradition, as the youngest daughter, it was Tita’s duty to not marry and care for her mother. Pedro, unable to stay away from Tita, accepts her mother’s offer and marries Tita’s older sister. Heart broken, Tita pours her heart into her cooking, channeling all of her passions and frustrations, which in turn were transferred to those she fed. Eventually, Tita will have to choose between following tradition or her heart.
