A Cradle of Potters

Bailén was built on a hill of clay, so from the times of the Iberians it was a cradle of potters. Today, and resisting the crisis, there is a very interesting small factory: La Casa del Artesano, That has evolved from producing typical everyday pots to creating murals and sculptures with character and soul.

I love the pop of orange on the blouse that goes so well with the skirt, and yet there's a slight color-blocking effect with the other flowers. And the statutes look so real, that's amazing! It's great that local craftsmen are able to survive even nowadays.
