The thrill of not knowing what I am going to find, the storie behind the items, the colours and shapes...

 My heart beats faster when I enter a thrift shop.

 I always stop at the door, flavouring the moment while my eyes fly free through the shelves and rails.

La emoción de no saber lo que voy a encontrar, la historia detrás de cada prenda, los colores y formas...

Mi corazón se acelera cuando entro en una tienda de segunda mano. 

Siempre me quedo en la puerta, savoreando el momento, mientras mis ojos vuelan libres.

Thrift shops were born out of necessity, and grew as a reaction to the high street masification frenzy. Essential to all of us who have a need of uniqueness and self expression at the right price.
 Las tiendas de segunda mano nacieron de la necesidad,  y crecieron como revulsivo al desenfreno marquista y masificador de las grandes cadenas.
 Esenciales hoy en día para los que tenemos una necesidad imperiosa de expresarnos y ser únicos al vestir a un precio razonable.

 Charles Frederick Worth, modisto de la emperatriz Eugenia de Montijo, fue el primero en firmar su obra. Nacen así las marcas y el arte de la MODA.

I remember my mother always used to say: `I only like films with beautiful dresses´. Films that made her dream and escape her monotonous everyday life wrapped in tulles and silks.

 Recuerdo que mi madre siempre me decía: "sólo me gustan las películas de vestidos bonitos. Películas que le hacían soñar y evadirse de la monotonía diaria envuelta en tules y sedas.

I always had her passion for beautiful clothes, and I am afraid I have passed it on to my daughters, who I hope will keep it alive in their children.

 Siempre tuve su pasión por la ropa y reconozco que se la he pasado a mis hijas, que espero la mantengan viva en las suyas.

This is my little homage to my mother, who would have loved to see these pictures, and the process of making a beautiful dress.

 Éste es un pequeño homenaje a mi madre, a la que estoy segura le hubiera encantado ver estas fotos y el proceso de elaboración de " un vestido bonito".

2 Years Blogging Today

Today, 7th of April, is my second year of blogging. I cannot tell you how pleased I am to have started this blog. Not only for  being the perfect platform to let my creativity run wild and undesrtood, but also for finding so much warmth and inspiration in all of you; who are now, more than friends, nearly family.

Hoy, 7 de abril, es mi segundo año blogging. No puedo expresar con palabras lo encantada que estoy de haber empezado este blog. No sólo por ser la plataforma perfecta para dejar  mi creatividad correr en libertad comprendida, sino también por haber encontrado tanta calidez e inspiración en tod@s vosotr@s, que sois ahora más que amigos, casi familia.
