Flea Market bargains and Bernau

We decided to spend the day in a small town north of Berlin: Bernau.
I am wearing the bargains I found in  last Sunday´s flea market: vintage  80s skirt (1 euro)  black patent leather clutch bag (2 euros) real ivory bangle (3 euros). 
I borrowed Rebecca´s vintage horse blouse and belt .
Decidimos pasar el día en un pueblo al norte de Berlín: Bernau.
Me puse las gangas que conseguí en el mercadillo del domingo:  falda años 80 ( 1 euro), cluth de charol negro (2 euros) brazalete de marfil auténtico (3 euros). De el armario de Rebecca llevo la camisa vintage y el cinturón.

As I said, I always travel light. I only brought a pair of skirts, a top and my comfortable walking boots;  so I am shopping my daughter´s closet until I find vintage bargains to wear. It is not an easy task, but I do love a challenge...

Como os dije viajo ligera de equipaje. Sólo traje un par de faldas, un top y mis botas más cómodas; así es que estoy usando ropa del armario de mi hija hasta que encuentre gangas vintage que ponerme.No es fácil, pero me encantan los retos...

Old Postcards - Berlín & Who´s Next Blog in Paris

We are  getting ready to spend  May in Berlin with our eldest daughter Rebecca. We visit her at least once a year, so Berlin is our third home, after Spain and England.
 We are never visitors in each other´s houses, wherever one of us lives there is a home for the family.  It will be a time of togetherness  and inspiration; of wandering through streets and markets. Embedded in the city day life, and delighted by the  quiet moments enjoyed together doing nothing.
 I  always travel light:  empty case and  an open mind in order to absorb all the wonders I find in my path. 
I will carry on posting and sharing my finds and thoughts with you.
Have you ever been to Berlin?

Nos estamos preparando para pasar el mes de mayo en Berlín con nuestra hija Rebecca. La visitamos al menos una vez al año, así es que Berlín es nuestra tercera casa, después de España e Inglaterra.

Nunca somo una visita, donde quiera que uno de nosotros vive, hay un hogar para el resto de la familia. Será un tiempo de unión e  inspiración;  de pasear por calles y mercados formando parte de la vida de la ciudad,  de disfrutar de lo pequeños  momentos sintiendo la dicha  de estar juntos sin hacer nada especial.
Siempre viajo ligera de equipaje: maleta vacía y mente abierta para llenarlas de todas las maravillas que me salgan al encuentro.
Seguiré escribiendo posts y haciéndoos participes de mis descubrimientos y experiencias.

My Brother´s Fan & Blog Overbranding

I created this outfit to match the fan that my brother  Antonio  painted for me,  before he died a few years ago.
I am wearing an 80s vintage dress, a  blue leather  belt from Oasis -England; lace gloves and espadrilles I customised with  a pair of broken earrings.

He creado este atuendo para enmarcar el abanico que mi hermano  Antonio  pintó para mí, antes de morir hace algunos años.
llevo puesto un vestido años 80, cinturón de piel azul de Oasis- Inglaterra; guantes de encaje y esparteñas customizadas por mí con unos pendientes rotos.

On Blog Overbranding.

I understand that blogging is for some  a way of earning a living, and that is ok by me,  as long as it doesn´t become a narcotic diffusion that ends up boring the readers,  and shutting the voice of the person behind the blog .
What do you think about it?

 

Comprendo que el blog es para algun@s una forma de ganarse la vida, y eso es muy válido, siempre y cuando,  no se convierta en una difusión narcotizante que aburra al lector y acalle la voz y a la persona detrás del blog.

Denim and tulle

Today, I am matching a tough denim shirt with a delicate tulle skirt.
I am wearing my own version of D&G earrings; although I am not so sure about black or white boots. What do you think?

Hoy, he conjuntado las aspereza de la camisa  denim con el delicado toque de la falda de tul.

Llevo puestos mi versión de los pendientes de D&G; aunque no estoy muy segura si el conjunto queda mejor con botas negras o blancas. ¿Qué opinas?

No deberíamos estar creando, inspirando y siendo inspirad@s, en lugar de fomentar la imitación?
