Denim and tulle

Today, I am matching a tough denim shirt with a delicate tulle skirt.
I am wearing my own version of D&G earrings; although I am not so sure about black or white boots. What do you think?

I like your earring better than the D&G ones!

I feel bad for not having commented as much recently! I've just been really busy, but I do feel really bad about it and I comment whenever I can. But maybe more like 5 comment a day rather than 20-30 like I used to. I always read your posts! xx

My opinion is that comments are part of the conversation started off by the blog post- I don't always comment but if I feel I can contribute to the conversation I will chime in.

Your ear-rings are so innovative- you made those? You are such a creative spirit, Sacramento! I do love the mix of tough and daily denim with the fun and fantasy of tulle- what a great combo. Best of all a glimspe of a grand tree from YOUR hometown- More please! xo -Bella Q

I much prefer your earrings to d&g they are wonderful! I like both boots but think the white are my favourite.
Interesting question on commenting. I have to say I think commenting is so important as it is how you get to buid relationships with bloggers and meet new friends. I dont always comment on every blog post I read, sometimes I dont ahve anything useful to say, but I always like to comment some of the time just to say hi and let the blogger know I am reading their posts. I love getting comments it really means a lot to me that someone would take time to read my blog and leave me a comment. I always go and visit the blogs commenters have to repay the favour to. x

Those are such unique earrings. Also love the pendant. You rock!!!

I think which what you said about commenting. That's what makes blogging fun. Without comments you might as well not exist. But I do realise that it is not possible for everyone to comment on your every single post ... but whenever something strikes, people should acknowledge it :)

love the combination of the denim skirt and that romantic skirt, the skirt looks so fragile because of the print. love the black BTW. the accessories are the finishing touch, love the necklace because of the metal, looks so vintage.. your earrings look fabulous, love the black and white, fabulous idea, you can make them out of lace, need to try that so thanks for the inspiration

an interesting combination, I'd never have thought to put all those pieces together at once. It's definitely the black boots for me-I'm old school, I'm afraid.xx.

I agree entirely, Sacramento. I also stick with the old adage that if I can't think of something nice to say, I don't say anything at all.

I love your outfit and I am a fan of the black boots all the way! And I agree with the other cmomenters - your earrings are WAY more fabulous than those overpriced ones!

You are a wonderful, thoughtful and inspirational blogger (woman!) and I always look forward to your contributions - both in your posts and in your comments.

Your earrings and necklace are amazing!! I love that you paired denim and tulle, and the black boots are my fave of the two. You're always so fabulous!

I absolutely agree with you on the commenting. I've commented on some blogs that grant it, though they have upwards of 5000 followers, it would still be nice of them to follow back and say thank you. Many bloggers are made by the people who follow them so I don't understand the need to be so rude as to not follow up with a comment back. Oh well.
But on to your outfit. The denim shirt with the toole is a great match. I think I'm liking it with the black boots better only because I think the white boots draws the eyes down to them and away from the outfit! Loving the cat necklace too :)

Not sure whether I like the black ones more than the white boots...?I think I'm more for the black ones, or check with me later as I'm being sooo flaky today hehehe

Agree with the comments, I love them and I love the conversation they can generate. Have many comments on my English site, but hardly any on the Spanish one, but on both I try to appreciate these in a way that shows, whether by replying, by leaving another comment in the participant's site, and especially getting to know who left said comment :)

Guapa!

Of course I agree with you in the comments, if we all like to receive ... we must also be on the other side.
I like the white boots .... They bring "sweetness" to denim shirt, you know ... the balance between the "strength " and "delicate. " However, I see that there are comments for all tastes, yeah .... That is equilibrium .

I love your homemade earrings more than the D&G ones. And I love the tough with the light. I like both the boots, but I think the white edges it.

Commenting should definitely be a two-way process otherwise it isn't a conversation. But people should engage. Meaningful comments (like the lovely thoughtful ones you leave) are much appreciated.

1 beso enorme!!

Dear Sacramento, it's a tough one, I like the black and the white boots. I the outfit is lovely and would also go with higher boots or cowboy type boots.

I agree on commenting. There's a couple of blogs I've left loads of comments on but they never, ever reply or visit. Last time I visited one of them I said something along the lines of "I love your blog and really enjoy reading it but you never come and visit or comment back". It's http://alifereclaimed.blogspot.com/ who is the mother of Liberty London Girl. She deleted the comment! Some people are bizarre.

In answer to your comment the other day - if you came to my house it's much shabbier than it looks in all the pictures... years of parties! If you come to London I want you to come round and raid my wardrobe! Much love to you my friend xx

That necklace = love!! And your work on those earrings is amazing. My opinion about commenting is that I do so whenever I can. I don't really care about whether the person visits my blog and comments on it. If I love something and have something to say, I say it. I don't always have time to comment when I first read something (especially if I'm reading it on my phone), so I re-mark them "unread" in my feed reader and come back to comment on them when I'm able. I don't feel like every comment must always be responded to. If I read and comment on someone's blog regularly, I don't even feel like I need to thank them for comments. We already have a relationship we're building. If I don't wish to follow their blog and they've left their email address, I thank them there. I respond by email to anyone asking a question who leaves their email. If they don't leave an email, I conclude they don't need me clogging up their life with thank yous. Sometimes I just respond right in the comments, sometimes via email. Depending on my mood. But I know people only come back and read comments if they're especially interested in a topic so I'm not sure how much point there is. I think a lot about getting something like Disquus where comments can be nested, but I haven't done it yet.

I agree about the comments, I always reply to those who leave me a comment and I like to comment on others posts. Blogging is a way to interact and comments are one of the tools to do that.

josune dijo...

Ahhh the commenting issue... a hard one for me... the whole quid pro quo position makes me uncomfortable.
I only comment when I can and when I want to and I certainly do not expect people to comment on my blog, it is a pleasure and a bonus when they do, a gift.
...but I do find it very difficult to comment on all the blogs I love and like and new blogs... there is such a pressure to comment that it becomes overwhelming and unfortunately it can become false. I refuse to do that.

I know when people have left false comments on my posts. And I am more offended than if they hadn't left a comment.

I don't believe commenting is like a friendship in the physical world because I would never form a friendship because I had to whereas blogging makes me feel that unless I comment I won't get readers.

When I comment, it is with sincere intent and because I have something to say.

I am not going to comment on a blog simply because that blog is popular and I may get their traffic or they have commented on my post and it is my 'duty' to reciprocate, etc. I am also not going to comment because I should. Also... I am not going to comment on blog that do not hold my interest.

And I dislike how comments have become a rating system. I started my blog without comments and then throughout its existence have reinstated then cut off again! Now I don't care but I certainly do know that my comments have dropped off since I stopped playing the game. I'm too old to play games!

In real life I know my true friends are the ones who I can call on after much time has elapsed and they still extend me their friendship. To me true generosity is when you give without expecting to recieve back anything in return.

Personally, I always comment back and I don't think of it as a burden, or task, because that's the reason why I started blogging in the first place.

I think I like the white boots better than the black boots with the skirt. I love when people leave comments that help continue the conversation, pose a question or give someone a boost. I am always happy to see you leave a comment on my blog!

I am just thinking, why I have not come to your fabulous blog before. It is so amazing.
Love your idea of wearing denim and tulle together. Very innovative. Love your accessories with it.
Yes, you have said it right about comment. No wonder you get 100 plus comments.

Beautiful handmade earings ! My favorite is with the white boots, it make me think to the summer and recalls the skirt pattern.
Personaly I comment on blogs to comunicate a positive feeling. If I don't like something, I'm not interested in writing negative comments, I don't want to loose my time with that, I prefere to spend it looking for inspiring and exciting things on other blogs !

Your earrings are definitely better than the D&G ones! I love the juxtaposition of texture in this outfit and it's definitely the black boots for me. =)

Regarding commenting, I think it's a lovely way of getting to know a little bit about the person reading your blog. And you're right, it's a two way street. While we're at it, thanks for always dropping by my blog. It means a lot.<3<3<3 xx

Looking lovely! I think I prefer the black boots but it's a close call :)

Comments are amazing - always so great to read and fun to leave too but keeping up with them can be hard. Sometimes there just aren't enough hours in a day.

I love this outfit of yours – it’s one of my favorites so far. I’m still looking for the perfect denim shirt; I have many denim jackets but no shirt. It looks great on you with the tulle skirt and black boots. The earrings are amazing!!!
As for the comments I do agree, I enjoy receiving them very much and when I write one I want it to have a meaning, not to be just a generic lovely or something like that, I love when it says something and it’s personal.
I know you asked me about the page viewers, I answered you on my blog in the same day but I’ll leave de answer here too in case you didn’t get the chance to return and read it: if you want to see the total page views it's simple, you just go to your blog to the Design section and then To Add Gadget and you choose to add Blog Statistics and that's all!:) Besos

What an amazing necklace. I really like the jean shirt. Being able to cuff your sleeves allows you to do so much with a top.
